Furniture Damage on Arrival
Seth Michael is committed to delivering furniture in excellent condition and will work hard to achieve that goal.

If your furniture arrives with minor damages or missing components, you may still accept delivery. Please notify Seth Michael immediately and note any damages or missing items on the delivery paperwork before signing. Take photos of the paperwork and all damages — both close-up and from a distance — to help expedite the claims process. Don’t let anyone rush you during this step.

Text your name and photos to (410) 541-6203 and we will be in touch right away to make it right as quickly as possible.

Any qualifying damage will be addressed through repairs completed by skilled professionals, designed to be virtually unnoticeable while fully maintaining the product’s warranty and long-term performance. If you believe a repair is insufficient, please contact us to discuss replacement options.

Returns — Vendor-Stocked Items
If you wish to return your furniture for reasons other than missing items, transit damage, or manufacturer defects, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery. In such cases, a 15% restocking fee will apply, and customers are responsible for a $300 return shipping fee to our Baltimore store. Please note that Seth Michael’s actual return shipping cost may exceed $300. Original shipping and delivery charges are non-refundable.

Customers are required to assist in scheduling and coordinating the return. Refunds will only be issued once the item arrives at our store in good condition.

Returns — Special Order Items & Floor Samples
Special order items and floor samples are not eligible for returns or exchanges. Additionally, manufacturers may not honor their warranty for items purchased as floor samples.

Processing Fees
All refunds are issued minus a 2.5% credit card or PayPal processing fee. This fee is non-refundable as cash; however, it may be applied as store credit toward a future purchase.

Missed Delivery Appointments
Because our shipping fee is already below our actual cost, please ensure you are fully prepared to receive your furniture at the scheduled time. Missed delivery appointments are subject to a $250 re-delivery fee.

Access Restrictions & Small-Truck Fees
Our white-glove shipping is based on delivery via a standard 26-foot box truck. If your home requires a smaller vehicle due to access issues — such as narrow roads, low branches, tight turns, long driveways, or HOA restrictions — our carriers can accommodate that. Any additional fees for a smaller truck, typically $200–$400, are the responsibility of the customer.

Island & Remote Location Deliveries
Our flat-rate shipping assumes the delivery address is accessible by standard highways and roads. Deliveries requiring ferries, water transport, or access to remote islands may incur additional fees or delays.

If delivery to your location is not possible using our standard carriers, you may need to provide an alternate mainland address where a receiver can accept the order. Any additional costs related to ferry transport or remote access are the responsibility of the customer.

Furniture That Does Not Fit
Seth Michael is not responsible for furniture that does not fit, and such items are subject to our standard return policy. However, we are happy to help arrange professional disassembly and reassembly so the piece can be moved to the room of your choice — this is something we assist clients with regularly.
